Andini Talks How Good Benefit of an Exercise for a Singer

[ENG] Dewi Puspita Andini, finalist of Indonesian Idol 2014 has a new hobby besides singing and dancing. Lately, she regularly physically trained by exercising at her home where located in Bekasi. Starting from gymnastics floor, squats, jogging, push-ups, to sit-ups. “I exercise only the basic. The important is the shaping and tightening of the body.”

The Madiun-born singer also said that she is very motivated with a workout to look more dazzling. For how long the duration is not stabilized. “Such as 30 minutes, 60 minutes or 90 minutes if I’m tired I immediately stop. Because if I forced it also not good, right?”

However, she had enforced when first time did exercise. “First time was doing exercise at night until 9 pm to 9:30 pm, which is I just go home from work at 7:30 pm. Boom! I had dizzy at that night,” she laughed.

In addition, those types of exercise that she currently do it have a positive benefit for a singer, especially in regulating breathing. “As a singer has a good breathing is to regulate the breath while singing. Especially when singing upbeat songs with choreography. Well, when it comes to exhausted sometimes ran out a breath. That’s not allowed! So I have to learn how to breathe.”

[IND] Dewi Puspita Andini, finalis Indonesian Idol 2014 ini memiliki hobi baru selain menyanyi dan menari. Belakangan ini, ia rutin melatih fisiknya dengan berolahraga di rumahnya yang berada di kawasan Bekasi. Mulai dari senam lantai, squat, lari kecil, push-up, hingga sit-up. “Saya olahraga hanya yang dasar. Yang penting untuk pembentukan dan mengencangkan badan.”

Penyanyi kelahiran Madiun ini juga mengatakan bahwa dia sangat termotivasi sekali dengan olahraga agar terlihat lebih mempesona. Untuk berapa lama durasi yang dijalaninya tidak menentu. “Semisal 30 menit, 60 menit, atau 90 menit itu kalau saya sudah capek langsung berhenti. Karena kalau saya paksa juga enggak bagus kan?”

Meskipun demikian ia pernah memforsir ketika pertama kali melakukan olahraga. “Pas pertama-tama olahraga malam sampai jam 9 setengah 10 gitu, kan habis pulang kerja jam setengah 8. Wah! malamnya saya pusing,” ujarnya sambil tertawa.

Selain itu, jenis olahraga yang sering dilakukannya tersebut memiliki manfaat positif bagi seorang penyanyi, terutama dalam mengatur pernapasan. “As a singer punya pernapasan yang baik adalah untuk mengatur napas saat bernyanyi. Apalagi pas nyanyi lagu yang upbeat terus pakai koreografi. Nah, itu kan kadang kalau kecapekan napas habis. Itu kan enggak boleh dong! Jadi, saya harus sekalian belajar cara pernapasannya.”
